Slideshow: Taking a look at telework in 2007

It’s not a crystal ball, but the slideshow offers an interesting snapshot of telework in 2007.

There are lots of interesting statistics here. I’ve listed a smattering below, but there are lots more at the slideshow.

Did you know

• Only 17% of telecommuters are single/never married? Only 8% are separated or divorced?
• 37% of teleworkers serve firms with 100 or fewer employees. 38% work for firms with 1000+ employees. Only 20% work in firms between the two extremes.
•  72% of teleworkers have 4 year college degrees…30% have post graduate degrees
• 52% of Federal workers are eligible to telecommute, but only 16% of private sector workers are free to telecommute.
