6 Tips For Boosting Associated Content Performance Bonuses

June 15, 2007 by Chuck | 2 Comments

Associated Content today talked about how to increase performance bonus - the amount of cash paid monthly per page view (in addition to any paid upon the original submission of the article).

Articles like this one on home medical transcription earn money when submitted, but every time this page is viewed, it automatically generates for the writer a small residual commission.

Some authors at AC are earning $500 per month in residuals even if they never write another word.

The question is … how do you increase performance bonuses? AC has a vested interest in writers earning more becuase every page view earns more money for them as well.

How do they recommend you boost your page views?

Looking for Performance Bonus bait? Try your hand at original news reporting! Here are some tips to get you started:

- Read news releases, government reports and scientific journals, and base your submission on that.

- Interview an expert on a hot topic, such as the environment, the Iraq war, immigration or gas prices.

- Capture video while you are on the scene of an event.

Let me add another tip or so:

- Link to your other related AC articles much like a blog links back to previous articles.

- Link to your articles from your blog

- Link to your articles from your squidoo lenses too

- You may also want to check places like the Lycos top 50 search terms (http://50.lycos.com) for ideas for “hot topics”

    I wonder…

is this website not taking submissions anymore,as of today? It seems the website has been redone and it seems the site now is more or less a “read-only” museum now.

Now mind you, it may just be a site maintenance day for them.

But if they were planning on shutting down, it seems they would have told their fans.
