One trend folks who operate lawn mowing businesses from a work at home office might want to consider is that propane companies are thinking about getting into the lawn mower business.
Though gas nationwide is $3, propane is $2 (though that doesn’t mean a gallon of propane mows as much grass as a gallon of gasoline…) and propane prices are lowest during the summer lawn mowing season.
It would be interesting to see if this lets lawn cutters pocket more cash by making the switch.
About 17 years ago I had a job driving a delivery truck (a Ford 150 with a box) that was powered by propane. So the technology to make the switch to using propane in “ordinary” gas engines is as old as the hills almost.
