Concerned about privacy with Google? Here’s Scroogle…

Scroogle Google’s increasing access to personal data continues to raise privacy concerns world wide.

One programmer has stepped up to provide an answer for the privacy concerned… His interface allows you to obtain Google’s search results without Google monitoring your search activity.

It’s called the Scroogle Scraper and oddly enough has a PR 6 from Google!

You’ll probably find the cartoons amazing as well!

The move was prompted by statements like this from Google in the Financial Times:

Last week, Google Chief Executive Officer Eric Schmidt said his company’s goal for the future is to maximize the personal information it holds on users.

“The goal is to enable Google users to be able to ask the question such as ‘What shall I do tomorrow?’ and ‘What job shall I take?’”

Schmidt fretted: “We cannot even answer the most basic questions because we don’t know enough about you. That is the most important aspect of Google’s expansion.”

Hmmm… who died and left Google God?
