Microsoft Unveils - “Surface” - What’s Your Take?

Microsoft unveiled one of their “secret” new projects today: “Surface”

No mouse or keyboard is required… simply human touch.

The immediate problems I see are

1) People will think it’s  a hard surface scratch it all up and otherwise destroy it in short order.

2) The thing I like about my keyboard is that I don’t see my fingers typing while I’m looking at the screen. That’s the first thing they used to teach in typing… remember?

This is definitely the next stage of the “graphical user intereface” to be sure.

And we’ll probably all have one - when the price come down and the drooling has moved on to the next great thing.

I also wonder how it will affect office ergonomics - maybe it’s designed to get us all standing up at work tables to stop obesity and really not designed to enhance the user experience at all?!

So what’s your thoughts. You can add your own opinions.
