There’s an old saying among writers… get paid three times at least for every bit of research you do.
Now, using the strategy I mention here you can’t get paid for submitting the same piece, but you can be paid multiple times for doing the same research for your writing projects.
Let’s apply this to the would be blogger.
First off, making money by blogging isn’t a sure thing. Like many internet fads, it was a cash cow for a narrow window of opportunity. Any fool could set up a thousand junk blogs and make money.
But the search engines keep getting smarter. That’s better for blogging but harder on new people wanting to get into the field.
Here’s how to double your chances of blogging success.
First off, I assume you can write well and have a topic worth writing about - or at least a general theme.
You can test to see whether you can make any money at all by joining Associated Content and publishing an article. Note: AC only pays for US based writers. Sorry.
If they are willing to pay you, odds are you can make money in that niche.
Pretty simple eh? Let them do the hard work of thinking whether a topic will pay off. They might be wrong long term but at least you’re getting paid up front!
Start publishing for your Associated Content account.
Once you’re ahead some money, you can then set up your blog on the topics you choose to write about for AC. Hopefully they’ll be broadly related.
After you’ve been writing for AC a few weeks and made some money, then set up the blog.
Set up Google Adsense and any other ways you think you can make money from your blog.
By this time your articles will have started being published online.
What do you blog about?
How about the same topics as your other published articles?
Talk about the same topic in different words and in a shorter version. Then link to your own AC articles!
You now have content for your blog that can make you money from Adsense clicks, etc.
But you also will get traffic from Associated Content . Here’s how to work that.
Associated Content is a traffic generating magnet. By default it will send people back to your blog if you put your blog address in your Content Producer’s profile. (Here’s what my content producer profile looks like.)
To make sure you get traffic back, also write some articles for your blog first. Then write a related but unique article for Asscociated Content and put your blog post link as a “resource”. It will help your link popularity and get you some bleed off traffic from Associated Content.
As time goes on you’ll be making money a variety of ways.
1. Associated Content payments when the article is submitted.
2. Adsense or affiliate revenue from your blog.
3. Performance Bonuses from Associated Content for every time your articles are viewed.
That’s why you should link back to your own articles - to boost your performance bonus.
But the performance bonus can also give you clues about what to write next.
Every Content Producer has a page that shows how many times every page has been viewed and how much performance bonus has been earned by each page.
Instead of doing mind numbing and still unpredictable keyword research, just find the pages with the most performance bonus and write on the same topic! Be sure to link back to these popular pages and interlink your articles at Associated Content for more page views.
By using these simple steps you can triple the odds of success at writing online.
Here’s how to Quadruple the odds of your success. After doing all the above, get other people to help you by joining a community of online writeres - of which I’m a member - who’ll help you boost your pageviews and earnings!
