How To Make More Money Writing Online - Rebecca’s Secrets

May 14, 2007 by Chuck | 0 Comments

I asked Rebecca whose content generated 59,031 page views in 7 days some other questions about her writing business.

1. She raises her average revenue by offering Associated Content exclusive use. On the other hand, if you want your article published for lead generation and a possible performance bonus, you don’t have to request payment at all and  your article will be published immediately.

The key in her experience - after writing 2000+  articles - is to have keyword rich content.  The same tools you’d use for your own search engine optimization  and article marketing make you more likely to a) get a better offer for your work and b) get more search engine traffic, more pageviews and more money as a performance bonus.

While articles on Parish Hilton going to jail are hot and may make you up front money, they’re not “Evergreen” to use Rebecca’s term. Instead write about things of perennial interest - crafts, home improvement, do-it-yourself, etc. if you’re interested in long term cash.

One other technique that helps get traffic is to comment on other people’s articles. Many authors will click on your content and read it if you leave a comment. Sometimes other readers will too.

One other thing I’ve learned is that there’s little rhyme or reason linking article length to pay out. I’ve actually been paid more for a shorter article! In other words, say what you have to in 400 words. Keep the article tightly focused on the key word in question. Then if you’re going much over just start another article and get paid twice.

Rebecca will be publishing more clues as time goes on.

I’ll pass along them along.

Happy marketing.
