How To Work At Home Without An “Office”

May 12, 2007 by Chuck | 0 Comments

Work from Home Momma has some really good points to make for folks who think they can’t “work from home” because they don’t have an “office” per se.

If you CAN work from home and WANT to work from home, it’s as easy as

1. Cleaning off the kitchen table

2. Opening your laptop

3. Going to work.

4. Clearing off your laptop for meals.

5. Setting back up when you’ve cleaned the table again.

Most of the time a simple filing cabinet is all you need in addition.

Screen name “clkl” a home based worker even created a moveable “filing solution” named a “GTD Mobile”! She has an online store among other things.

(”GTD” stands for the book Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity)

It “follows” her through the house so she always has her “work environment” and “to do” list handy.

So why is it that you can’t work at home? For most it’s the source of an income stream, not the lack of a fancy office.
