The Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa has declared certain types of work at home advertisements to be illegal.
The opportunities which may no longer be advertised include typing work, addressing envelopes and labels, filling envelopes, gathering names and addresses, and compiling data, among others. However, this does not include typing work requested by the buyer of a service, such as typing of student assignments.
Sounds like the same type of scams people are always warning people about here in the US. They just made them illegal.
My question is this: if they change the ad to read “Make money on your laptop from your favorite wifi hotspot!” but still publicize the same scam, is it then LEGAL?
