I just ran across an interesting newsletter on sales by Shamus Brown. He also has a blog.
The introductory article they send when you sign up is a good one on the key to strong sales performance.
He thought it was being persuasive.
In reality he found out that the key was to qualify your prospects and stop wasting time on people who can’t buy for lack of money or authority to make the buying decision.
How do you qualify in Internet marketing? The audience is vast and largely faceless.
One way is through the choice of keywords to Target Impulse Buyers as you submit unique articles for publication to attract those buyers. The internet as I’ve stated before is “The abode of the information starved damned”.
While you end up “working for free”, it’s wise to learn ways to defray your costs so you can be “paid” to market in some way. That can happen online when essentially someone pays you to advertise and offline when you get someone else to pay for your travel.
How are you qualifying your leads? How are you defraying your marketing costs?
