As you know, I write on this blog daily. But I’ve been trying to build traffic. Bloggers always want more. So I wanted to find a site that would allow me to post a related article like the one I just posted about.
But I’m incredibly cheap for one thing so I thought I’d like to try posting it at Associated Content on the off chance I’d get paid even though I didn’t want to give them an “exclusive”. After all if it becomes a long series, I may want to put it in a book or something. (I can always dream right?)
Hey, their Alexa rating is 2492 today. Someone should find my article just by accident.
But even if they wouldn’t pay me or would offer me just peanuts like a buck or two, since it was not exclusive I figured I could still post it elsewhere at other article sites.
So I didn’t give Associated Content an exclusive on this.
Anyway, I submitted it for payment and was told to allow up to 2 weeks to receive an offer.
Within 24 hours they came back with an offer that was much better than a few peanuts.
Lots of bloggers out there are doing paid placements for these blog ad companies for less I can tell you that.
So consider Associated Content the next time you’re placing authentic, genuine articles ( instead of recycled article junk you dreamed up while cutting and pasting from authority sites).
If you’re trying to target impulse buyers anyway to sell products via affiliate link, you might as well get paid up front if you can to earn money coming and going!
And again, since I would have taken peanuts, a whole peanut butter sandwich was nice. I may even get some incoming traffic from that site too!
