Paducah, KY is getting known for it’s Artist Relocation Project.
The city condemned a bunch of crack houses and other derelict properties and decided to create an “artist” colony to promote economic development.
You had to have the money to refurbish the property within 18 months, but one couple got a complex that had been 4 apartments for $1 and created a business and place to live.
That’s one way to work at home and pretty reasonably too. Head’s up – they had retirement pensions already and this is their “retirement” career. But that counts too for working at home!
