Entrepreneur & MSNBC have an interesting article on the growing number and influence of entrepreneurs in the United States.  It’s called The American Business Revolution.

Technological innovation, access to credit  for women and minorities through civil rights laws, and growing acceptance of entrepreneurial independence were key factors in the “entrepreneurializing” of America… good thing too.  The turn of events came at the same time as the outsourcing of America began.

The franchise market has also morphed from storefront operations costing $250,000 to start into “desktop” franchises that can be worked from home that start for less than $50,000.

Once, people who had a “home based business” were looked at with suspicion. Now everyone would LIKE to have a home based business.

How times change.
