The Silicon Valley Business Journal reports that a program set up by Ebay to auction advertising has prompted an unhappy response from cable TV systems who don’t like what’s going on.
Now that Google’s auctioning off Satellite TV ad space, this is likely what they’re up against when they try to get into cable TV ads and other TV venues.
The Times, quoting New York-based trade group Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau, said that without the cable networks’ participation, there will be no air time for the eBay exchange to sell to advertisers.
