While you’re on your Adwords account putting up some keyword ads for the Google search engine, you might just be able to buy television advertising next.
Google has partnered with EchoStart to begin selling advertising to satellite TV customers.
The press release said:
EchoStar and Google will compile a new, automated auction system that will enable the satellite TV provider’s 125 national networks to buy, schedule and deliver advertisements.
But how do you click on a TV ad?
Seriously though, Google’s claim to fame is letting people only pay for advertising that works. Their ventures into newsprint, radio, and now TV are supposed to offer excellent diagnostics (e.g. how many TV viewers watched the ad) but will that provide the same customer satisfaction?
I guess at least click fraud won’t be a problem.
