How The Global Economy Will Affect Your Home or Small Business

The Entrepreneurial Mind blog lead me to an interesting article at Inc.com on how the global economy is affecting American businesses that want to remain competitive. The author is Jack Stack the CEO of an employee owned company who co-wrote A Stake in the Outcome: Building a Culture of Ownership for the Long-Term Success of Your Business

Placing just a blurb or two of that article here would be a disservice to you… you really need to read the whole article at Inc.com (it opens in a new window).

It really says alot of things that our government leaders should be reading because unless the US does something to make itself a tax haven for individuals and businesses alike, it will see globalization move corporations to places that are more friendly for business. At present the trend is to make things more odious for individuals and businesses and there is no relief in sight.

As a home business person, it might open your eyes to how someone with a small operation (one room!) went “global” without going into debt. It’s sort of the global version of one of my favorite business books: Starting on a Shoestring: Building a Business Without a Bankroll
