If you use AdWords, Johnathan Leger has a new tool for you.
This tool will take any keywords that you supply and inject
the city and/or state combinations for every city in the USA
into the keywords for you.
This helps you take advantage of local searches and – hopefully – will reduce your overall advertising costs.
For example, say you want to generate the keywords ‘auto insurance’ for every city in Texas. The tool makes this easy. You would do the following:
1. Use ‘auto insurance’ as your keywords.
2. Select Texas as your state.
3. Select the format you want your keywords returned in from the drop-down-list of options.
4. Select whether you want exact match, phrase match or broad match results.
Then click ‘Generate Keyword List’. That will return:
auto insurance Austin TX
auto insurance Addison TX
auto insurance Allen TX
auto insurance Carrollton TX
auto insurance Celina TX
etc.
This makes it very easy for you to target your keywords to specific locations in the USA.
The tool is “donationware” and he requests you donate a dollar ($1) every time you use it.
