I’ve been focusing some of my spare time recently on how to maximize the value of “Squidoo” as a marketing engine for small business, home business, professionals etc.
One tip I ran across was to start your own group. I started a careers and employment group yesterday on a whim after joining several groups.
This morning I’ve already gotten two new group members.
In groups you start, your name is always at the top of the list for human and robotic searchers.
In smaller groups, there’s also more chance to be near the top. I’ve set up this group so that people with newly updated lenses are automatically highlighted on the home page. Lensemasters in the group who update their lenses are also highlighted so that people can see all their lenses.
It makes me wonder… where else should we be starting groups to help market our online business?
