Associated Content Pays Residual Income On Articles

Lots of people are publishing articles to market their websites, businesses, or blogs and get web traffic. They usually choose high page rank “authority sites” like Squidoo, EzineArticles.com or a number of others in hopes of getting that elusive traffic. In exchange for traffic they are, of course, giving up Adsense revenue usually and writing for free.

I’m amazed more people don’t use AssociatedContent.com. It’s a PR 7 site with an Alexa rating of under 4000 as I write this! Wow!

When you publish an article here, you can get paid up front. The amount is determined by whether it is exclusive or non-exclusive use by AC. If they alone can use it, you lose the copyright and may be paid more. If it’s non-exclusive you may still be paid something.

In addition to upfront money, there are contests.

Since you’re trying to get traffic back to your site by writing articles designed to be read and found on search engines, there’s now back end residual income for your content.

It’s called AC’s Performance bonus.

Here’s how it works:

How does the Performance Bonus Work?

…you will earn money per 1000 Page Views of your AC content. For example, if a PPM™ for a particular article is $US1.50, every time 30,000 people have read or viewed the content published in your account, you receive a $45.00 bonus.

What is a PPM™?

A PPM is Payment Per Thousand Page Views (”M” being the Roman numeral for one thousand). It is the rate AC will pay You for every thousand (1,000) Page Views of Your Content.

This may not sound like lots of money and it’s not a windfall. But every little bit helps. Most writers aim for that “mailbox money” anyway…the kind that keeps coming in month after month. If you were going to post your article somewhere else anyway for free… why not get paid to place your article?

Do they pay via check delivery?

I’m not sure they pay outside the US. I think it’s all by PayPal and within the US. You need to check their site because this type of stuff is always changing.

Follow Up: From their FAQ Page: Do you pay Content Producers who live outside of the United States?
Due to tax code and other regulations, at this time we are only able to offer payment to citizens or legal residents of the United States. If you are a not a citizen or legal resident of the U.S. you can submit content for no payment. U.S. citizens living abroad may submit content for payment.

I am not a citizen or legal resident of the United States, BUT I do have a PayPal email address. Can I be paid?
No. We understand that PayPal facilitates international payments, but we cannot offer payment to non-citizens or non-legal residents of the United States due to the legal limitations of our Independent Contractor/License Agreement.
