Squidoo.com lenses can rank very highly for what are called “non competitive keywords”.

Most of the time, the name of your home town is not such a word unless you live in New York City.

So give your business a chance to make a good first impression by building a lense for your home town and include the links to any relevant affiliate product that might serve folks wanting more information about where you live.

It’s a simple, free, potentially money making way to get your business in front of people.

You might even build some good will for yourself by linking to local businesses. Get some free publicity in the paper and the radio - and local business contacts - by offering to link to these businesses on your lense. As a “back end” offer you could offer a nominal fee to make lense for them and inter link all lenses so you have a lense farm.
