Working At Home? You May Still Need Liability Insurance

Do you have clients visit your home office? Does your existing homeowner’s insurance coverage “cover” them if they slip and fall while on a “business visit”? I’ll bet many don’t. The insurer assumes that your business increases the odds of a claim enough that you need additional coverage.

Here’s an online guide to Liabability Insurance For Freelance Professionals. This guide discusses insurance needs in the UK and policies differ in the US. From what I understand it’s also easier to sue someone in the US too. I hear that in the UK if you sue someone and lose you have to pay their attorney fees too.
It’s obviously by someone hot to market the product, but you can always get a second opinion from your local agent and attorney.
