If you’re on the email lists, you’ve been getting a million emails promoting the “Day Job Killer” program.
Sure, I’d like to make a commission selling this program too. If you’re going to buy it, I hope you’ll buy it through my affiliate links. I’ve got bills to pay after all. But I’ve been in the business opportunity industry since before it was “on the internet”, so I want to offer you this word of advice before you buy “Day Job Killer” from anyone or at all.
1. Clever ways to make money (on the net or off) become dated very quickly. Adsense used to be so free and easy, you’d just set up a keyword rich page for “Mesothelioma” and you could make some real money. But then the rate of pay was slashed on the “content” network simply because people were creating junk pages just to get clicks. Did that many people really know anything new about “Mesothelioma”? I doubt it. But it’s easy to get caught up in greed and do silly things.
In other words, the big profits caused by inefficiencies in the market usually dry up fast.
Today’s “killer” technique may be tomorrow’s way to get your website banned from the search engines.
So, even if you’re making money hand over fist right now, you’d better keep learning because it won’t always be so easy most likely.
I remember when people were getting rich selling discount long distance service. Now that we all have cell phones, that market that made millionaires has dwindled tremendously.
This is most likely true for some or all of the techniques you’ll find in “Day Job Killer”. Really, only time will tell.
2. Most People don’t achieve “passive income” in anything. We are all attracted by the promise of “passive income”… the suppoesd ability to be cashing checks while doing “nothing”.
To be sure, we can set up systems that continue to work while we play. But they usually don’t go on “forever” or even a very long time without some input on your part.
Let’s say I had cornered the “Buggy whip” market in the 1800’s. My only customers today might be the Amish - but they tend to make their own buggy whips.
Even if I’d had the best team of buggy whip experts and manufacturers working for me, unless I’d realized that the market for buggie whips was changing and took steps to adapt, time, technology, and change means the window of passive income is always closing. It’s up to you to find the next window.
Nothing in “Day Job Killer” changes that basic reality.
You always have to keep your head in the game and adapt. There are lots of programs talking about how to get money from blogging, but if you don’t keep writing new posts every day… it doesn’t matter!
Sure, Donald Trump, J. Paul Getty, and Sir Richard Branson may have what “seems” to be passive income, but they still work all the time… probably as much or more than most. It’s the nature of their work that differs.
What “Day Job Killer” realistically offers you is the opportunity to change the kind of work you do to something you really enjoy.
3. “Day Job Killer” doesn’t change your calling in life. You may not want me to get too metaphysical with you. But if you believe you have a special calling in life from God, then “Day Job Killer” won’t change that. And if you’re running away from your calling just to make alot of money, like Jonah the prophet, prepare to be swallowed alive!
The most miserable people I know are the ones who seem to have “everything” but have “nothing” when it comes to doing what they truly love and are called to do. It’s better to be poor and on target with your gifts and calling than to be chasing things you’ll never ultimately enjoy.
Keep this all in mind as your read the “Day Job Killer” website. You’ll get solid information that’s proven wildly popular, but things are bound to change. What you’re looking for in buying information like this is a “leg up”, a key to unlock the next step in your progress. If you hope to finally buy ONE THING and never have to invest in knowledge or learn a new technique again, “Day Job Killer” (and all information sources) will sorely disappoint.
