Don’t want to pay $500 - $600 per worker for a Microsoft Office Suite? Google hopes you’ll pay $50 per year.
Many businesses and professionals are - Bill Gates hopes - locked in to Microsoft products so will be “forced” to pay for VISTA.
Google hopes
1) that companies won’t mind having potentially proprietary data on the Google Servers and
2) will enjoy having to spent lots less per employee.
So what price are you willing to pay for corporate privacy?
Microsoft will still be the winner in most cases I suspect or make Open Office freeware more popular!
I’ve had a real pain getting the web apps from Google to work. Maybe a real techie would have no problem with that.
