Yokel lets you target local buyers… even through mobile phone searches. There’s a $49 annual account fee, but after that you only pay when customers view your listings.
The price per click is only 25 cents (subject to change I guess) and you can set a maximum monthly budget. So this could be affordable for even small businesses.
Because national retailers and chains like Wal Mart, Ace Hardware, Pet Smart, etc. use the service, even small town folks who search the net will start using this service. Since you only pay when they look at your ad, it may work out well for you.
