Flood Forces IRS To Make Telecommuting A Top Agency Concern

Last year’s flood which put 20 feet of water in the basement of the IRS building has made the issue of telecommuting a top priority for the agency.

Telecommuting is always talked about as a “contingency plan” for businesses and government agencies, but usually in the context of an apocalyptic contingency like a flu pandemic.

Last years flood shows the need for telecommuting to be able to implemented without end of the world scenarios occuring.

Since Washington DC can get shut down from baby powder leaking out of an envelope these days for fear of a bio threat… it would pay for these plans to move into high gear.
