OK, this has nothing to do with working at home but it might be a good reason for you to stay home. This is another reason never to fly an airline again if you’re tired of being monitored like a prisoner wherever you go.
This is fair warning: Don’t pick your nose or talk to yourself if you’re on an airplane in the future – you might be arrested as a terrorist about to explode a bomb.
The Evening Standard reports that tiny spy cameras are being developed to monitor airline passengers to see if they give tell tale signs of stress and start muttering prayers under their breath. Yes, there’s a microphone with the system too.
It’s all for a good cause, fighting terror. And it’s just the kind of tyranny terrorists want to inspire to destabilize western governments through over reaction.
Sounds like it’d be wonderful for corporate espionage too… if you can’t stay profitable flying an airline, you can sell the data on your corporate passengers and every word they mutter! For more breaking news on this, read the novel 1984.
Cameras fitted to seat-backs will record every twitch, blink, facial expression or suspicious movement before sending the data to onboard software which will check it against individual passenger profiles.
