Lara Miller is an aspiring fashion designer. She got her start working at home and didn’t wait for someone else to “discover her”. Now her fashions are available in stores in California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, and Wisconsin.
After tapping her personal savings, credit cards, and other available resources, she still needed cash.
No traditional lender would “touch” the loan… but she went online to Prosper.com where she was able to promote her plan to potential lenders. A $3,000 loan request was funded in short order.
Since then she’s repaid the loan and gotten another one from lenders at the Prosper.com marketplace.
