MySpace has become a very popular place for people to market a variety of marketing efforts.
Some options for marketing on MySpace have been shut down however.
I received word today that at least one CPA network has banned all traffic from myspace and all people with offers on the site for this network are required to take offers down immediately if not sooner!
I had another marketer tell me that MySpace is blocking Clickbank links, but not other affiliate network links (Clickbank links are very distinctive).
I’m not sure why MySpace blocks Clickbank links have been blocked.
Many “CPA” offers are “pay per action” such as 1.00 per email lead, etc.
My guess is that MySpace was producing lots of traffic from kids who’d sign up for anything that sounded free but who then would not be profitable customers for the CPA advertisers.
In internet marketing things can change instantly.
Check your CPA networks’ policy on MySpace links so you don’t get in big trouble and have your account cancelled!
