Ask any job growth prognositcator and they’ll tell you that becoming a barber is losing proposition. No growth in the field…no demand… unless you’re making up to $300 per day being a barber that is. Some - though more likely it’s the lady hairdressers - work out of their home.
I think that struck Anthony Bradley a brilliant scholar with a huge graduate school debt with some dismay since he’s the one who posted it on his blog and from whom I’m borrowing this picture.
There’s about 250 business days in a year. That’s a gross income of $50,000 to $75,000 which isn’t bad in most places… especially since the overhead tends to be low.
It reminded me of another barber who started out sleeping in his shop and “working at home”.
