Ebay To Set Auction Fees Through Auctions?

Is Ebay really going to set auction fees by holding an auction so that only the highest bidders can auction stuff?Well, it’s not that bad yet, but they are raising auction fees yet again. This was revealed in an announcement from Bill Cobb the President of Ebay North America (photo). For items selling from $1.00 to $9.99 the price is now 40 cents. Ebay’s cut at closing for items between $25.01 and $1,000 is now 3.25% up from 3%.
Thankfully there are no fee adjustments for eBay Stores or Store Inventory listings

And here’s Ebay’s comforting reminder to us that these increases are in “everybody’s best interests”:

Let me say that, while we believe these changes are modest, we consider any changes that may impact our sellers with great care. These adjustments are the result of careful analysis, and we believe they’re the right thing to do to keep the marketplace strong for our eBay.com and eBay Motors sellers.
