Work Is Making Way For Family Life - What Will 2007 Hold?

December 31, 2006 by Chuck | 0 Comments

Work is making way for family life according to the Washington Times. Working at home, split positions, telecommuting and flex time are taking some of the bite out of the 9 to 5 grind. Individuals and their employers are realizing that “an unbalanced work and family life can significantly increase the odds of marital instability and divorce, which can hurt employees’ production”.

Over the last year at this blog I’ve documented how people are learning to create their own home businesses, how states seeking to manage rush hour traffic are subsidizing telecommuting, how changing demand for locally grown food has the potential to bring new home based food entrepreneurs into the economy, and how the yearning for alternative fuels is restoring the heartland’s economy, and how even teens are cashing in as home based entrepreneurs.

What will 2007 hold? It remains to be seen, but - Deo Volente - I will be here to blog about it!
