Nursing A Business To Profitability

Lillie Warren, a registered nurse, was on maternity leave with a child when she had a brainstorm to provide home health care to her rural county… despite the fact that she had NO business experience whatsoever.

A few years later her business grossed $975,000 and employed 70 CNA’s (Certified Nursing Assistants) providing rural home nursing care. Along the way she gets to train the CNA’s she employs and has done a fantastic job of getting folks off the welfare rolls onto the tax rolls.

Here corporate motto is:”To give high quality nursing care in a manner that edifies the client and glorifies God.”

But when she tried to get started though, she couldn’t even get a loan to begin her business. Finally with the help of the Small Business Administration she got a $10,000 loan. The rest, as they say, is history.
