Maybe you’ll get some year end good news! The bad news? Tax forms were printed wrong and your tax software might not have these udpates!
1. Sales Tax Deduction for states without Income Tax
2. Special deductions for qualified educators at primary and secondary schools (teachers, counselors, principals)
3. Health Savings Accounts deduction increases
4. Higher Education deduction
5. Deductions for private mortgage insurance protection when you get a home and pay less than 20% down.
6. Business Tax CREDITS (not just deductions) for research-and-development, work-opportunity and welfare-to-work credits were also extended.
