I was notified today that one of the Kiva.org loans I helped sponsor has been funded. The send me emails whenever the local agency administering the loan posts to their blog.
Nambafu Kevin is a married woman of 45 years with 7 children and 4 dependants. She started this business with 40 bags of coffee and now she wants to increase the number of bags to 100 so that she can better support her family.
She is the only one managing their needs because there is no other assistance apart from the business she is running. In order for her to grow her business, she is requesting a loan of $800 so that she can improve her daily income. This will, in turn, allow her keep the people she is taking care off.
Eventhough she is working so hard to run this business, she has faced some challenges. The greatest challenge thus far is when it rains which spoils the coffee, making it wet. When it begins to dump, she will experience a great loss which is not her aim so this puts her down completely. But she can’t give up because she must endure survival with the family.

I was just surfing in the net when I pop into this site and saw this report regarding Nambafu Kevin loosing her coffee due to rain.
I can give some simple and not expensive tips in order to avoid that.
But I saw that this report is from 2006, so have no idea if it is still valid.
Best regards
