Technology continues to drive down the price of doing business while in some ways also limiting one’s options for doing some businesses.
Google’s CEO is now proposing that folks be able to use cell phones for free… as long as they’re willing to us ad sponsored cellphones hosting Google’s ads of course.
Should this unfold, entrepreneurs may be able to cut out another chunk of overhead if they can tolerate the intrusion of ads even on their cell phone.
But if that’s the case, selling non ad supported cell phones will likely dry up on the home business side. Corporate sales forces would likely remain to provide specialized services.
Let’s poll folks… would you choose a free cell phone if you only had to receive ads on it in exchange for using it?
