Like many people wanting to make a statement and make a name for himself, Curtis Allgier did.
You can even say he became notorious - he’d marketed himself so well in certain circles he officially reached “Number 1″ status.
In fact, you might even say he’d branded himself.
Not well perhaps, but, you have to admit - uniquely.
Even those with a cursory familiarity with the man realize he must have worked long and hard to set himself “apart from the crowd”.
It worked so well he finally made himself instantly recognizable and unforgettable.
You might say he achieved stardom when he was listed as Salt Lake County’s “Public Enemy Number One”.
There’s just one problem. His particular form of notoriety lead to prison and that’s one place he didn’t want to visit again. So he ran.
His successful “brand image” made him easy to find though as you can see.
That’s one thing about marketing yourself. Make sure that whatever you do to make a statement is something that you can live with for the long term… or at least take out of circulation if you want to head in a new direction.
