A System To Make Money On MySpace

October 18, 2006 by Chuck | 0 Comments

I’ve been blogging about making money on Myspace on this blog (check related links) and here. I’ve suggested a number of places to get free MySpace layouts, etc. I even talked about a tool to automate finding “MySpace” friends for marketing.

Finally someone has taken the very tool I mentioned for automatically adding friends on MySpace and turned it into an entire ebook on using the Social Networking site to generate affiliate product commissions!

It’s called The MySpace Bank and sells for $49.

Here’s what I like about it.

1. It’s automatic. No business is really “set and forget” but it helps to automate as much as possible.

2. MySpace has a million registered users… real people visiting every second. It’s not like sites such as the bazillion free classified ad sites where most of the users are other people posting ads!

3. It’s much more friendly place to do online business than Craigslist which is focused on local communities and seems to hate even local business URL’s. Sorry, but it’s true.

4. Though you think of MySpace as “teenie bopper country” a huge portion of the users are over 35 so most have money to spend on your product if it’s a good one.

5. It’s a system that can be applied to other “fishing holes” that will eventually come up and have their own tools.

6. It’s different than all the other junk about “search engine optimization”, Adwords, Adsense, and all the other things that have got me sick of reading ebooks. It was nice change to read about this. (I’m easily bored!)

7. It could have used more screen captures to show what he’s talking about at points and I say that as a person who normally despises too many pictures in an ebook.

8. He talks about some marketing techniques that to me are questionable… and at least he’s honest that some are pure spamming where others are not (at least in my opinion). I trust adults with a moral compass to be able to wade through some of this stuff and make their own sane decisions, but if you’re easily offended, DO NOT BUY THIS EBOOK!

These things come up because he’s discussing the nature of MySpace which frankly has it’s share of wackos just like any other place where people are free to congregate. At the mall you just walk the opposite direction.

9. No I didn’t like some of the language. I guess that’s the Rich Jerk mentality these days. They think we all have to be cussed at before we’ll wake up and listen. Hello, if what you say is “for real” I’ll listen! But cussing doesn’t turn what you say into the truth!

Will this last long? I really don’t know.

Will it last long enough to make a good profit from an ebook? Sure if you do something.

I sure liked The MySpace Bank despite the reservations I’ve shared with you.
