I actually have no idea whether this is legitimate information or the Canadian version of “Get A Government Grant” hype. I tend to believe it’s legitimate because of 2 factors…
1) It came to me via a resource (of all things) for missionaries, the newsletter from www.brigada.org In other words it wasn’t in the normal places you’d find junk listings. And for that matter there’s no web site or even an affiliate link…just a phone number as if this thing has been printed for the last 20 years. I suppose it could just be a scam trying to appear “retro” but today any good scam at least has a website! So it seemed real enough to post it. (I just noticed there’s a American one too… I’m very leery of those after sorting through so many of them myself.)
2) When in graduate school I knew some Canadians who told me that their government had subsidies for everybody and everything.
So… If you’re in Canada and want to learn more, here’s what I found. If you are familiar with previous editions of this resource and it was gold or pure junk, please leave a comment. And, let the buyer beware:
