Photo Courtesy Breitbart.comOne thing that keeps people from taking the “entrepreneurial plunge” is not fear of failure per se.

It’s the nagging question about medical coverage and a safety net in case of a catastrophic illness or in other cases the cost of ongoing medical treatment.

What’s the news?

Wal Mart announced a pilot project to sell 30 day supplies of generic medications for $4 per month!

While yesterday’s developments in no way represent a solution to this problem, they do represent a potential way forward for many entrepreneurs and people who have no insurance such as the “working poor”. Even those with insurance will find that at these prices, they do not have to access their insurance as frequently.
From the article…

The world’s biggest retailer said Thursday that it will test its sales program, in which 291 generic drugs will be sold at $4 for a month’s supply, in Florida. The drugs involved provide treatments for conditions ranging from allergies to high-blood pressure.

Wal Mart - long hated because it provided low paying jobs and ran smaller businesses out of business - has been recognized in a recent study for helping keep down the lid on prices in the American economy because of their vast sales clout and ability to force suppliesr to conform to their pricing structures.

Can they reign in the skyrocketing cost of pharmaceuticals though?

Any help will likely be welcome!
