She’s been doing it all her life. Now it’s a home based sewing business… or rather custom clothier business. It keeps her 3 sewing machines busy!

Holly Snyder’s professional sewing career began at age 11 — putting together stuffed animals she sold from a wagon.
“I’ve been sewing everything in sight ever since,” she said.
These days, her time is filled with wedding dressings, bridesmaid gowns and dozens of other projects.
As a customer clothier for women, Snyder has been transforming people’s ideas into clothes since starting her business, Holly Snyder Custom Clothing, at her Park Forest home in spring 2005.
“It’s a lost art. People just don’t do it anymore,” she said.
What started with christening dresses has quickly grown, keeping her three sewing machines busy, she said.
“I didn’t even know the demand was out there,” she said.
Snyder can help people who have a hard time finding clothes or are looking for something specific, she said. The process allows the client to be part of selecting fabrics and styles to get the best look, she said.
She can be reached at 237-4543.
