If you’re not familiar with the Rich Dad Poor Dad book, there are 4 quadrants wherein people generally function. They’re called the “Cashflow Quadrant” visible on this book cover.

The “E” and “S” quadrants are occupied by the employed and self-employed who depend on the efforts of their own production on an hourly basis. It’s only when systems kick in that people create businesses and investments that produce returns not necessarily dependent on their personal production like the E and S quandrants.
