Webmasters, home business folks promoting their sites, etc. have turned to sites like ArticleCity.com and other massive article submission sites to get exposure for their writing.
They hoped webmasters would repost their article in hopes of getting links back to their primary site.
The webmaster posting the article hoped that that the pay per click advertising on the pages created by such articles would generate substantional revenue.
Now though, some publishers are starting to SHARE THE PROFITS with content creators.
It remains to be seen how profitable it will be for any author and how long such sites stay in existence.
But the theory is sound.
Triond.com plans to give authors 50% of the royalties earned, payable by paypal.
Squidoo.com pays an undisclosed amount in royalties to their lensmasters from a variety of sources… contextual pay per click ads, amazon.com, ebay, and others.
AssociatedContent.com pays up front, not ongoing royalties.
Given enough time, there will be 100 others… all seeking exclusive content to attract more traffic with non duplicate content.
And these resources can STILL point back traffic to your primary website.
The question will be whether it’s possible to produce enough uniquely varied content for multiple royalty generating sites while pointing back to your main site?
Could you vary each arcticle enough on the royalty sites to qualify for their royalties and keep content “unique”, generate monthly income, and still benefit from their traffic to your main site?
Possibly. It depends on whether these sites fulfill the promise of actually generating visitors and royalties and then sending them your way.
What have been your experiences to date with such sites?
Note: Ambatch.com allows you to earn pay per click earnings from Google IF you already have an account and you either upload a video to YouTube.com or find one you wish to post there.
