Yes, I noticed their sister site was down. The last time I visited there wasn't a "sister site" so I don't know what's up with that.

Thanks Chuck for the suggestions. I actually was thinking something along those lines. The time to do it would be now, as the personalized book site is very seasonal and its season is just getting ready to start. (BTW, the "sister site" of the fieroauctions.net site was down when I went to look at it.)

MadLuck,

I checked out your site http://www.madluckbooks.com

Some ways to tie in your existing traffic to a "Dave's" site would be to link from your main site to the <a href="http://www.lowauctionseller.com/index.php?catid=267" rel="nofollow">"Books" category...</a> of your page.

But you can also set up your main page to serve up listings for whatever cagtegory you wish and tie the domain name to those keywords.

Here's an example (not my site) called

http://www.fieroauctions.net/

Perhaps you could do this with books?

Chuck,
I didn't mean to imply that you "had it easy". The couple of months I been reading this blog, I've mainly been impressed with how much time and work you must put in it to blog two or three times a day. (I'm happy if I manage two blogs a week!) I suspect you put just as much hard work in promoting the lowauctionseller.com site and whatever else you are involved with. After re- reading your original post I see that your main point was that yes you can make money with the site, but it does take work and effort to promote it - something that is not often pointed out by the people selling these "great business opportunities." I appreciate your candor.

"most of us do not have the access to quite as much free promotion as you do here…"

Actually, while I do get to promote the site for free here such as in the URL that my name links to, if I depended on that I don't think it'd do as well. I have to get out and promote it like any one else.

I'm out there promoting just like the rest of you!

It's tempting to think that some people have automatic traffic... and indeed some folks might. I suppose if Jeff Bezos of Amazon had a side business, he could promote it on Amazon.

But this isn't Amazon!

There's a temptation to think others "have it easy" and then rationalize why we don't do better ourselves. We all fight that.

Having this blog helps, but it doesn't make every promotion an automatic cash cow.

I am tempted to give it a try, though

"Are there so many the market is now flooded?"

gives me pause... And most of us do not have the access to quite as much free promotion as you do here...
