Take Pictures of Accident Scenes

This is a common way for people who do alot of driving around a city to make extra money.

I’ve heard of some taxi drivers who – upon witnessing a wreck and before the vehicles are moved – will stop their car (even with a passenger inside! But they don’t charge the passenger for the ride due to this interruption!)

They then photograph both vehicles from a variety of angles and will exchange information with the drivers… for instance, they’ll give a driver their “Accident Photos” and a number.

They may even get the name of the drivers, their insurance companies, etc.

They know they can shopt the photos around. Insurance companies and lawyers (on both sides) may pay good money for such photos… perhaps several hundred dollars or over a thousand depending on the circumstances.

The more you can sell these photos without a middleman in the process, the more money you can keep for yourself of course.

However you may not be successful doing that for one reason or another… maybe you’re not aggressive enough for example.

In that case you could use a broker of sorts. This means you get 40% of the fee. But since they may be better able to negotiate fees or get the money faster, 40% of something may be better than your 100% of nothing.

One firm advertising their “brokerage” services and helping people who register with them by notifying them of accidents in their vicinity so they can make money is a company who advertises on Craigslist.

Here’s one of their ads…
