Here are the latest email phishing attacks observed by myself and readers. If you know of others, please contact us.
These attacks are related to ebay and seek to obtain personal information and access to your ebay account.
They pretend to be inquiries.
One common one says that “WelshDruid” wants to inquire about your auction.
Others are emails “confirming” your purchase designed to make you go “Heck no I didn’t purchase anything!”
Still others are on related themes hoping you’ll open the email and access your ebay account from there.
You can test for phishing by checking the html and seeing where links are actually going…
Better yet, never open a financial account from your email. Go to your bookmarked addresses in your browser that you put there after getting the address from an official “snail mail” document of your financial company.
