The ServiceMaster Company, a $3.5B leader in the home services industry whose brands include TruGreen ChemLawn, Terminix, American Home Shield and Merry Maids, is looking for a Director of Internet Marketing, responsible for leading the Internet marketing efforts for one or more of its brands. ServiceMaster has grown customer counts from Internet marketing activities over 50% per year since 2002 and is looking for high potential marketers to join its newly created Internet Marketing Group to maintain, and in many cases, accelerate its growth from this channel going forward. Main sources of customers are paid and organic search, Internet yellow pages, affiliate partners, email and media portals, like AOL, weather.com and others.The Director of Internet Marketing will lead the Internet marketing efforts and strategy for their respective brand, including creating and managing to the brand’s e-marketing plan, managing key advertiser and agency relationships evangelizing within the brand the value of investing time, energy and capital to growing the acquisition activities on the web. Currently, ServiceMaster is looking for two Directors of Internet Marketing for its corporate offices in Memphis, TN. Both positions will report to the Vice President, Internet Marketing Group.Responsibilities:
• Creating, selling and managing performance against the Internet marketing plan for their respective brand/business unit.
• Working closely with VP and C-level marketing executives within their respective brand to ensure the e-strategy and e-plan integrates with that brand’s overall marketing plan and customer acquisition strategy.
• Manage key advertiser/partner and agency relationships to deliver on lead and cost commitments.
• Drive lead volume and sales growth through improvements to paid and organic search campaigns, Internet yellow page listings, email campaigns, media portal placements and other geo-targeted advertising relationships. In addition, the Director will be responsible for identifying and developing new advertising relationships that fit with the overall marketing
• Work closely with key internal stakeholders, including legal, technology, finance, marketing and operations to execute contracts/campaigns and ensure Internet marketing activities are consistent and well supported throughout the organization.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution. An MBA in business, marketing or finance is a plus.
• Over 7 years work experience and have an excellent grasp of the Internet and how it is/can be used to market to potential customers. Management or Internet consulting, investment banking, advertising agency or corporate marketing experience a plus.
• Excellent communication and project management skills and is comfortable working in a results oriented, data driven decision-making environment. Candidate must demonstrate a proven track record of producing results, preferably in a matrixed organization and/or in a role in which the candidate did not have direct control over the resources required to be successful. Previous experience selling or presenting to C-level executives a significant plus.
• A high energy, “can do� personality. Candidate must be just as comfortable framing and solving a strategic issue as they are digging in to the details and doing what it takes to get the job done.
