Pooper Trooper“Thar’s GOLD in them thar mounds!” to paraphrase the comments of people who headed west to find another type of gold in another type of hill.

These Pooper Troopers find ”gold” in cleaning up the messes of canine friends.

Charges start at $10 per yard per dog… $13 for 2 dogs.

From the Seattle PI

Bill Walters, who started Pooper Trooper nearly three years ago, scours a yard in Madison Park. He collects 500 to 700 pounds of canine waste every week from about 125 clients. (May 20, 2006)

Walters is at the forefront of commercial dog waste management — that is, scoopin’ poop. He and his business — Pooper Trooper (http://www.poopertrooper.net) — are here for those who’d prefer to outsource the stinky, messy task of cleaning up after one’s dog.

Before heading to the next client, he sprays down the poo with a biodegradable orange juice-based sanitizer, places the bagged poo in the dog owner’s trash can, puts a new plastic bag in his bucket and brushes off his rake with a bleach solution.

He genuinely seems to like his work.

Walters, who charges $15 a week for one dog and $20 for two, said most people interested in the service aren’t lazy; they’re simply grossed out by the chore or pressed for time.
