Hawking Spam Lists on Craigslist

May 18, 2006 by Chuck | 1 Comment

On Craigslist this morning, the following ad appeared. I’ve left out the email addresses… no use encouraging them.

I hate spam, but I’d also hate a novice who thinks it would be good to respond to this ad to get ripped off either.

They want 1 cent per name for these…and claim to have 450,000 names.

Let’s see, that’s $4,500!

So they want me to transfer $4,500 and they’ll send me the list in a few hours?

They could be out of the country in a few  hours… if they’re not out of the country already.

Don’t spam and don’t answer ads like this.

It’s got “Sucker” written all over it!

I flagged it for Craigslist, but if you visit, please flag it yourself.

I also sent it to the Federal Trade Commission and Gmail to report abuse since they use a gmail address.

How many regulatory agencies can you think to send this posting to?

Use your imagination and let us know where you reported these jokers to…

We have a email list of about 450,000 student email addresses from schools such as Washington State, University of San Diego, University of Texas, University of Florida, Toledo, Oregon State, and many more …What we did is find a current student at each school we have and had them deliver us a 2006 yes it is 100% current student directory for their school. The directories have been inputted individually into excel spreadsheets by hand. Every email address is of a student an over 90% of them are .edu emails that go straight to their schools inbox for each student. Try finding this type of list anywhere you simply can not. If you have a product or service that you want to market to college students this is the best way to go about it.

We can sell you the full list of every school or we can sell you how ever many you want. We are selling them at 1 cent per email. If you buy the full list we will significantly drop the price for you. We accept all major credit cards or paypal. We will email you the list within hours of your payment.
