How To Avoid Home Business Failure

First let me explain why I chose the word “failure” for this week’s topic. I spoke to four different women last week about home business. Two of those women commented on their “failures”. In essence they were not moving forward because of past failures. Another was afraid of future failure. Again, not moving forward because of an anticipated failure.

The harsh reality is that 3 out of 4 women I talked too had a debilitating fear we call FAILURE. This word is paralyzing us from taking the next step. Can you imagine having your dream flowing gracefully through your mind, it is so pleasant and beautiful–just when you believe you can achieve it you reach for it. As you reach for it though you are suddenly stricken with a piercing pain through your insides–fear of failure–stopping you from taking the chance or chances to follow your dream!

And what is failure? How does it have this affect on us? It is not a person, it is not a beast or animal–it is a word. A word defined by us. We make this word tangible! We believe in it and so it is!

Can you imagine if you didn’t “believe” in failure? If we didn’t make failure real then could it truly hold us back? I say no, no it couldn’t, it wouldn’t hold us back.

Take your fear of failure–and switch it. Instead of letting the fear grip your insides and make you feel ill, believe in yourself. Let the belief in your success grip your insides like a big ol’ bear hug! Enjoy it, love it and BELIEVE in it. Believe in yourself.

No, I won’t lie to you and tell you a little positive thinking is the cure all. Instead I’m going to give you two exercises to complete. Two simple things you can do to start the process to reverse the effects of failure and start you on the path of believing in yourself!
