Tomorrow’s the day for going to prison if there’s not a lock down.
One problem prison release folks have is the inability to handle technology.
Some were incarcerated befor ATM cards and cell phones for example.
Others have never been on the Internet and don’t know what it is… pretty bad when
many job openings for big firms like Home Depot or Nissan or Walgreensonly take online applications.
So one of the things I’ll have to address is to find out where these folks are technologically.
Can you imagine walking out your front door and not knowing how to use…
A cell phone
A computer
The internet
An ATM card
And yet the jobs most open to released felons - unskilled labor - are rapidly disappearing or still require a modicum of technical saavy?
